Is it normal to date brother's wife's cousin?

I recently met my sister in-law's cousin. She was kind of cute. I don't really know her at all yet or if I even like her, but just doing the initial consideration as far as if it's even acceptable to date someone related to me in such a way. Thoughts?

    If you aren't blood relatives it should be fine to date.

      I mean what if we hit it off and got married and had kids? Wouldn't that be awkward for the family and also would it mess up our kids genetically and/or confuse them?
