Is it normal to cry when hearing about someone's happy family

Whenever someone's loving family or relative is mentioned, I start tearing up. I never had that. Is this normal?

I would say that it's not normal to cry when you hear about someone's happy family in general, but considering that you said you did not grow up with a happy family I would say that in your case it is normal to tear up when you're faced with someone else's happy, loving family.

Now I have some questions for you, dear heart. Where are you living now? Are you still living with your family of origin? Have you had a chance to address your issues with growing up in a dysfunctional family? What are you doing now to love, and nurture your inner child?

I highly recommend that you look into the concept of re-parenting your inner child. I also highly recommend that you check out a twelve step program called Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families, I will leave you the link, sugar.

I hope my suggestions will be of some help!
