Is it normal to cringe so hard reading my old posts

I've been on here for many years. At first, I was planning for a nostalgia trip through my old posts here but after reading lots of them, bloody fuck! They were so pathetically cringeworthy like why and how the fuck did I manage to write such unholy abominations while unintentionally turned them into mementos of cringe?! is it normal to cringe so hard at one's own post and regret ever making them in the first place? Is it relatable to some of you?

if you cringe at something you've done in the past, it means that you've improved as a person :)

    • Same situation. I feel you. One of many reasons to cringe. To rub salt into wounds, somebody here actually pointed out by telling me I was an incoherent fuck which actually happened in one of my old posts. ;(

Yuuuuuup. I used to get so pissed when I’d write something out and people would just respond with correcting my grammar.

I hate how some people get hung up over simple issues when the message is obviously clear enough to be understandable.

        • It's like some people think and expect all people on Earth were born to speak English as their first language and there are no other languages other than English or something. They get hostile even to the smallest misspelling/grammar errors we've made.

Participating on forums one enjoys is a good way to practice a language.

Lol. I cringe real hard at my freaking old posts.

When I was 16-22, I was just absolutely nuts. Especially when I was like 18-21. If only there could be a time machine.

I even feel like I ruined my own 2010s. Too bad it's not the 2010s anymore. I feel like I wasted those damn years. Lol.

That's one of them yes. I used to go by another name before then, I didn't spout out about my morally questionable interests on that one though but alas I have no access to the account

When I read some of my old posts at Facebook, they're so cringeworthy it's funny.
Some of the stuff I wrote here years ago is pathetic too. I'm glad most of them were anonymous.

I feel you on this one, I’ve had this account about 8 years and the nativity in some of my old posts is so embarrassing. Not to mention the spelling errors.

I’m glad I usually chose “reply anonymously” so no-one will trace those teenage cliché monstrosities back to me.

Some of the better ones just read like journal entries with a comments sections though and it’s kind of cool to see how my life has changed since I wrote them.

Yeah I look back at some of my old stuff and cringe too. It's mostly stuff where me and other users would go back and forth spewing random jokes and sentences. Like it was fun, but looking back at it now I can see that none of that would be acceptable on this site these days. XD

When I see old facebook posts of mine it makes me cringe. And when I think of some of the things I did back then. As ive gotten older Ive changed my opinions on things ang changed the way I reacted.

    • Ouch. You made me recall some of the embarrassing random shit I wrote back then on Facebook. I used to write about wishing for a perfume that smelled like mothballs to exist and be sold to public and about how I wanted to be a tree that produced oxygen so badly. Hope you survive reading this.

Glad we at least realized and learned from past mistakes.

You can become tree. It's only like 3 grand 2

When I was around 20 I would cuss out supervisors at work because I was friends with people high up in the union. I really was a little punk back then. Karma is a bitch though because most of those guys I cussed out became my bosses later and they really fucked with me.

There is something to be said about that -
Be careful of who's toes you step on today, they might be connected to the ass you have to kiss tomorrow.

Yeah, I use to roll my eyes when older people told me things that sounded cliche. But now that I'm older I find myself thinking the exact same way.

The one thing that has helped me most in life has been to not make decisions emotional. Like if your supervisor wants you to do something unfair or he makes you do another employees work. The time to confront him isnt when you're fuming. That was always my issue. Id come at them wrong. Took me years to figure that shit out.

When you get really old, like over 40, supervisors and bosses barely mess with you.
