  • I assume you're doing this for ease/time saving - IE, your foundation covers the freckles anyway when you apply it, and then you draw them back on, because you can't cover around them because they are so small?

Try only using foundation on the patches of skin which aren't freckly. Leave your freckle patches completely bare.

If you aren't able to do this because of the colour change between foundation/bare skin then this means you are wearing the wrong colour foundation. You should be able to only put foundation on the patches of skin that need it. I recommend watching some Lisa Eldridge videos - she's fantastic at this sort of thing, and is actually extremely well qualified unlike self taught beauty bloggers you find on YouTube. (Although I believe that Lisa has now started to upload her content into youtube as well)

    • I disagree. As a person who has very red skin in the face, I have to cover my entire face in foundation. If I leave any spots without it, there is a definite color difference. Obviously, I don't know if this person has red skin, but if they do it would look awkward to leave red patches on their face.

      • My skin is only red in patches, which is the bits that I cover up if I'm bothering to wear make up that day.

But yeah, if OP happens to have rosacea or something then this wouldn't work. It was just a suggestion though, hopefully helpful to her.
