Is it normal to constantly smell your belly button?

I sometimes have the urge to stick my finger into my belly button and smell it. What would smell gross to most people smells good to me for some reason. It’s not that it is necessarily a pleasant smell, but I just can’t seem to stop doing it. I usually only do it when I am at home, I’m not to the point where I do it in public.

I just bought a natural vanilla & rose deodorant at Target tonight!

I also just finished eating some Popeye's fried chicken, and this cat was begging so I gave him some, but I made sure he didn't get spicy pieces. He used to go crazy for sushi, he once accidentally ate a glob of wasabi. I wish I had taken a picture of his face when he ate the wasabi!

It's called Schmidt's Rose & Vanilla Mineral Enriched Natural Deodorant, I like this stuff.

The only scents I like are linen and lemon. Your cat is very spoiled.

I'm very into aromatherapy! I use essential oils all the time. Lavender is my favorite, and lately I've really been enjoying blood orange a lot.

My cat has been quite demanding lately, so I've taken to telling him not to act so much like a poodle, because poodles think the world revolves around them. My sister, and her poodle should be arriving in Delaware with the month, or maybe after the New Year starts.

My Siamese is sweet though so he does kinda deserve to get spoiled.

My favorite is aloe vera scent. Except I have noticed female responses to licorice and cucumber fragrances.

Anyway, I would like to get into aromatherapy. Can you tell about the first step?

Clean it out with alcohol and a q-tip twice a day. once it stops smelling "not necessarily pleasant" you will lose interest.

As an alternate plan, keep on sticking your finger in your belly button and smelling it whenever you feel like it. I doubt you are hurting anything, unless you don't wash your hands before eating, flossing, or sticking that same finger in other moist places.

It's not normal. And it's even less normal to stick your nose directly into your bellybutton to smell it!

It's not normal, but it isn't exactly hurting anyone either.
