i call her cupcake because she is sweet like one. but she told me to stop because her dad used to call her the same name when she was younger. do you refer to your partner using a cute nickname?

    I called my ex-girlfriend cupcake a few times in a playful way. I understand why she told you to quit though. My dad used to call me Hun Bun (like honey bun, the snack cake), and I wouldn't let any romantic partner call me that now.
