I assume you've never met him? "he even wrote"
It sounds as if this relationship is completely in your mind. I think you need to step back and look at all this from a distance. At any rate it's over and perhaps a good learning experience for you.
No as in he wrote me a card. We are long-distance but we have met lol we see each other pretty often for being away.
I just can't seem to let it go knowing he was fine and happy recently then suddenly he wants it to be over. I think I have the right to not take it so lightly and take my time. I have a feeling he probably just saw something and it hit him and now hes having second thoughts so therefore, I refuse to let it go just cause he's now being delusional and thinking nonsense all cause of something he experienced. I get where he is coming from because thats how I was with my exes and I look back and know its not right to leave a relationship because of that reason. So I can't let him do the same mistake
You can not stop him from making 'the same mistake'. You can not control him. If he won't stay with you, there is NOTHING you can do. Anything you try to do will drive him away faster and farther.
It is best put as, 'If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. If they don't, they never were.'
Sorry, but that is the only thing you can sensibly do.
IIN to call it quits all of a sudden?
