Is it normal to bruise yourself?

I don't really know how to describe this. Ever since I was a child, I've 'enjoyed' bruises and soreness. It's not the same as enjoying an ice cream cone, or enjoying a good movie, it's like some kind of warm, snug feeling. I'd walk around with purple and brown marks all over me, poking at them when I got bored in offices or class. Boxing was a natural sport for me, and I got a few trophies from it.

I don't do any sports anymore, but I still get an itch to feel that type of pain. When that feeling comes up, I'll hit myself. Many of the times it's near my cheek area or closer to my lips. I sometimes offer for friends to take a swing at me. I don't think it's masochism, but it just feels so uncomfortable without that pulsating feeling.

Honestly IDK, I used to stick my nails between my teeth and twist the,, because I really enjoyed that specific pain. But I never felt pleasure from pain anywhere else...
