  • Well...sorta. I mean, the government doesn't give college funds to minorities only (correct me if I'm wrong about that, but I'm 99% sure it's true)....so 'we' don't, private organizations do, and that doesn't 'take away' from white guys at all. It's also not impossible for a white person to get a minority scholarship. There's also 'white-focused' scholarships (some cultural ones, for example). As far as discrimination goes, in most cases the same law applies to everyone, so anyone can sue if they've been unlawfully discriminated against-except Affirmative Action-but that doesn't apply to all employers, and it's questionable that it's even really effective, and even more rare that anyone can TRULY claim that they didn't get the job because of some minority or woman (people like to claim that, but the truth of the matter is usually something else entirely). Usually people who are just failures in general are the ones who claim that these things hurt them. Or they've never actually been affected by any of these things and are just spewing crap that they don't even know about.

lol, I just came across this: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/07/02/texan-wins-controversial-white-man-scholarship/

    • The subject of Affirmative Action is questionable if it even works. However, I do agree that in some cases people didn't the job because of something else that is not race based.
