Most medical doctors won't even touch your... problem until you've not only met with and had extensive therapy with a psychological professional, but also require you to live at least 2 years as the gender you want to be.
This last part is what it takes to convince most people that the grass in fact is not greener on the other side. Both have their pros and cons.
In general I don't have all that much compassion for the transgendered, oh, don't like how you were born? Get in fucking line. Imagine the midget that wants to play professional basketball, or any sport really, how bad must that suck? People born black into a racist culture, good luck changing yourself or society. On and on and on and on, and transgendered people go around all whiny about their "problem" which actually isn't a problem. Accept who you are like the rest of us.
