Just basing my comment on the title as I can't be assed reading this all as I'm pretty wrecked. No, being transgender isn't normal but just because it's not normal doesn't mean that it's "wrong" or "bad".
So don't worry about it. Be who you want to be, and being transgender isn't a bad thing. :)
