Is it normal to be tired of hearing these japanese names?

Ones I'm tired of hearing are: ( so apologies if my list of names are so long like I said I'm tired of hearing them. ).

Names beginning with Masa ( Masashi, Masako, Masami ) and etc.

Names beginning with Yu: ( Yuki, Yuko,Yukio, Yuji, Yuta and Yuto) + names like Yumi and Yukari

Names beginning with Aki: ( Akiko, Akihiko, Akira )

Names beginning with Nao: ( Nao, Naoki, Naoto and Naofumi)

Names with the name Yoshi: ( Yoshi and Yoshihiko ).

Names beginning with Ta: (Takeshi, Takato and Takumi)

Names beginning with Hiro: ( Hiro and Hiroaki. Also counting the name Hiroki which I've already heard too many times. )

And finally names beginning with Ryo: ( Ryoto, Ryota,Ryohei and Ryoma. )

In conclusion I'm kinda tired hearing these names.

Other ones I'm tired of hearing are: Hayato, Chinatsu and Haruka.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

      • I've been to Japan. After the first week it had the most depressing atmosphere I have ever seen in a place. Sure it has anime but you know what else it has? Crippling depression, High standards, and a deep smoking and drinking culture, very corrupt judicial systems and prisons, also it was very group oriented so as an individual you tend to hold all of your shit in. So you can imagine why suicide is sky high!

That was the place to be if you like snacks and alcohol.

          • I was in sasebo with the JSDFM they knew the only white and black people walking around were sailors not tourist, important difference because sailors drink more than tourist. We kept those bars open.

  • This sounds like most common Japanese names really, maybe lay off the anime?

    • I'm already laying that off which is exactly the reason I am super tired of hearing those names.

But yeah I guess they are kinda common.

Sometimes in games I see them and I get exhausted seeing those names. What I'll do is not think of those names and this might also solve the problem.

      • Those names are just the japanese equivalent to Henry Harry, Thomas, John, Jacob, Luke, Zach, Hunter, etc and those are just the male names!

Japanese names are a bit less gender specific so overlap tends to occur more often.

    • I was gonna mention it along with the names Akane, Ayana and Hiroshi.

Though I have to say the name Satoshi is a name that I am slightly getting tired of.

    • I don't watch anime and I've never been interested in anime so I cannot really say that I'm those people into that. I personally think anime sucks.

Everyone has a life outside of things.

And also I never knew you became SpideyRose.

  • The problem is you hate Japanese.

    • No I don't have hate towards them, its just names that are too common and it's always seen. Neither do I have hate towards their culture.

  • How about names begunning with Ju (Junichi, Juno, Juka, Jumamoto etc etc)?

      -
    • Ones with Ju I keep hearing a lot, an example of this is the female name Junko it gets redundant overtime.

      • Yeah, I don't think the name Junko is going to be popular for quite a few years. I'm sure there's a ton of people named junko now, but I highly doubt people will name their children that.
