Wait, you had it tethered? What does that mean when applied to someone's spine?
Normally, peoples spinal cord is attached to nerves at the base of the spinal column by a stretchy tendon. Mine was short and fat, and instead of that stretching, the nerves stretched. So they severed the tendon.
