  • I've only ever heard of cucumber sandwiches in the context of British culture, but there are probably other places where people eat them. And I know what you mean about never having thought of it before. There's a weird insistence from neighboring states that my region is obsessed with green Jell-o. I've eaten it maybe 3 times in my entire life and have literally never seen it served at potlucks or parties. When I tell people this, they think I'm the one who doesn't know what I'm talking about. I mean, I only have 20+ years living in this area, but please, by all means tell me what it's like to live here

    • I'm Swedish, cucumber sandwiches are certainly a thing here too, usually combined with cheese, and on knäckebröd.
