Are cucumber sandwiches only a british thing? It makes sense but I never thought about it before today lol. I’ve only ever met one person who eats cucumber sandwiches though, most people who include cucumber have cucumber and ham.
I've only ever heard of cucumber sandwiches in the context of British culture, but there are probably other places where people eat them. And I know what you mean about never having thought of it before. There's a weird insistence from neighboring states that my region is obsessed with green Jell-o. I've eaten it maybe 3 times in my entire life and have literally never seen it served at potlucks or parties. When I tell people this, they think I'm the one who doesn't know what I'm talking about. I mean, I only have 20+ years living in this area, but please, by all means tell me what it's like to live here

I'm Swedish, cucumber sandwiches are certainly a thing here too, usually combined with cheese, and on knäckebröd.
