Is it normal to be really nervous about losing my virginity to my girlfriend?

I'm a 20 year old guy, I met this girl a few months ago, and we've been going out ever since. I really like her, more than anyone I've ever met. We haven't done anything sexual yet, and I don't mind, I don't believe she does either.

However, I'm really nervous about if/when we do get to that stage. I don't want her to think I'm a loser, or something for not having done it before. And I want her to enjoy it, I don't want it to be a drag for her.

I've always been the shy quiet type, until recently I've been getting more comfortable being more out going around people. But I've always wanted it to be special when I lose it, with someone I truly care about. So I guess that's why I'm writing all this.

I guess I'm just worried because most guys my age have a lot more experience than I do, and I don't know if girls prefer that or not. I mean, I'm assuming it's normal to be nervous the first time, but I guess I want to hear from women's prospective... Have you been with a virgin? Was it lame, or enjoyable? And if you haven't what do you think?

And this might be over thinking it, haha... But I've always had this immense fear of finishing too quick. I've heard some women say that they actually think it's kind of like a compliment, but what are your thoughts?

    No, she's not a virgin. And yeah, thanks. Surprisingly she's okay with talking about it, haha. I'm all nervous and she's completely okay.

    experience won't stop you from finishing too quick, and taking too long is actually worse. There are ways to finish your girl off if you come too quick but if you're there just thrusting for 45 minutes she'll get dry and sore and it just won't go well (some couples do go for a long time, and for some couples 10 minutes would be too much)

    Is she a virgin too? or has she had sex before? either way practice will make perfect, just be honest and upfront about it :)
