Is it normal to be proud of writing a messed up story?

Is it normal to write messed up things like a girl growing up loving stars (like the space stars, the astro ones) and eventually having symbolic sexual intercorse with them and becoming a star? I love these things they're so out of the way, so unexpected and unreal. I also have a ton of fun writing mild fanfictions about my friends. It's not really a fanfic it's more like a novel with a normal storyline but I ship my friends in it. They enjoy the novels as well.

Is It Normal?

  • How do you have symbolic sex with a star? Just curious.

  • It's bloody well great. Writing rocks. I'd love to be a writer of novels or a TV series or something and get to see my work enjoyed by others.

  • You've got some mystical symbolism going here that could support powerful metaphorical expression. James Joyce was a master at quippy eloquence that got hidden comparisons moving at multiple levels in just a single sentence.

Study the masters, like Dylan Thomas who said,
"And I am dumb to tell a weather’s wind
How time has ticked a heaven round the stars."
