From what you've explained, your parents sound crazy and I'm not saying that it's your fault that they are. All I'm saying, you shouldn't point the blame at your parents because they didn't put away a college fund for you. Obviously, I don't have the popular opinion here, but that's how I see it.
ONLY four years? Four years is a long time to be living with crazy people, I would know. If you think you can stick it out for that long, then I honestly hope it all works out for you. However, I get the feeling it's gonna wear on you heavily.
while I usually agree with you at least to some extent(though I think if you make more than enough money and then disregard your kids future, you're kinda an asshole and shouldn't breed, college is neither as cheap or as optional as it used to be.) their response was never "It's your responsibility to pave your own way" it was "Don't worry we'll TOTALLY have the money later down the road. You can go anywhere if you want to." I'd much rather they be up front with me because then I could've gotten a job earlier.
All that being said, I've been doing some math and it turns out I'm gonna have enough to move to another college next year, I just have to save up all I can and I'll be outta this hellhole!
IIN to be pissed off at my parents in this situation?
