Is it normal to be excited about "gaining" weight?

I was a natural skinny kid growing up but later on in life I felt insecure because people kept judging me. I am gaining quite alot of weight but it doesn't even bother me now because it makes me feel good and each time I notice my body getting thicker and thicker I feel amazing and excited!

I'm a girl that's always been healthy but way too skinny, people make fun of you. So now I'm in my 20's and im gaining weight that's settling in my butt, and I love it. So of course you're going to be happy, especially when people are so rude about being thin.

Why don't you work out to getter bigger in a muscular way instead of in a fat way?

For a guy, especially a younger guy who's too young to worry about heart problems, etc., and who's a guy who's often been viewed as skinny or weak, then yeh, it's totally normal how you feel. Extra weight on a dude definately does take away appearances of looking weak, even if it's fat and not muscle. Women are sort of a different story. Women ideals are to look curved and not too overweight (they shouldn't look too skinny though like some of those catwalk girls used to look). Men ideals are often the bigger the better.
