I thought the same thing whem I immigrated into the UK. My own country has a terrible reputation especially for having so many theives and corrupt fucks. What's more, I was born in an abusive environment that made me feel even worse about it and I thought it's a lot worse than it really is. Soon enough I moved and I realised that nobody told me anything and nobody mistreated me. In fact they were very welcoming and considering my own country as giving great people, even though they couldn't be further from the truth. I believe it's part of their culture to be welcoming and friendly, but honestly, changing the environment made me conclude that the world is so shit that my country is just blending in. Political leaders here are also shit, corruption and abuse is also abundant, brainwashing everywhere, that's our world. It's not that bad here, though.
I don't think you are judging this right. The whole world is shit, not just Sweden. Everybody has their own problems. My reason for leaving was not the bad reputation of my country, it was my own bad condition, since I had nobody and I was abandoned and poor and hopeless, so this truly changed my life. Instead, you want to move from one place to another due to the bad reputation of Sweden, but no matter where you go, they are all shit so you won't be happy.
Instead I sugggest acting against all the shit by changing the view of citizens. You have the power to make yourself heard and you can change people's vision. You could move if you want, but I don't think that you will find a significant improvement in your life, since you don't really have better options for this. Instead, you might land in a complete shithole and miss your own garbage at home, because at least it was your own garbage you get for free, rather than paying for other people's garbage.
IIN To be embarrassed of your own nationality?
