There are numerous places one can go and be with others in the same position at Thanksgiving. I'm sure the newspapers have lots of notices and places like a homeless shelter near you would love it if you would offer to help them out on Thanksgiving. You wouldn't be alone, you would be helping others and you might meet some really cool people who are also volunteering their Thanksgiving helping others. You never know, it could become an annual thing for you.
