Is it normal to be brand conscious?

I think it's retarded to clothes or shoes something based off of a name. But certain electronics (watches headphones ect.) different brands have different features and quality.

I can't stand that nonsense. Like some women and their purse obsession. Wtf?? How anyone could spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars on a fuckin bag is beyond me.

I don't care at all for designer bags, clothes, shoes. I got a beautiful, olive green military style jacket for 7 bucks at a thrift shop. Looks brand new and I havent seen anything like it in stores. The only brand name items I like to buy are high end cosmetics. Reason being that there is definitley a quality difference in cheap and expensive makeup. Makeup is like a hobby for me. I enjoy it a lot so it is worth it for me.

I guess I do and I don't, I'm a sucker for certain brands that I personally like, converse for example, show me a pair of ugly ass converse and I'll probably buy them, I just love canvas shoes and I love converse, vans too but to a lesser extent, and franklin and Marshall, maybe it's because I like the american college aesthetic.

But I won't buy something just because it's a recognised brand for the sake of owning a recognised brand, most of my clothes are cheap and unbranded or media related like breaking bad, welcome to nightvale and band shirts, I'd say 80% of my clothes are just cheap plain clothes,

If you want value per dollar, you are normal. If you judge value only by brand, you are shallow.
