Is it normal to be afraid of being in a car

For as long as I can remember, I've always felt uneasy when getting in a car. During the ride, I'll either get carsick and throw up or get a really bad headache. It helps when I'm sleeping during the ride, but only a little.

Strangely, I am not afraid of rollercoasters, boat rides, or any other fast moving vehicle that is not a car or van. Buses also don't have the same effect on me that cars do. I have talked to others about this and they say that it might have to do with my past life. Possibly, I was killed during a car crash in my past life.

Still, I don't know what to make of this. Does this happen to others as well?

It sounds to me that your actually afraid of getting car sick. As a young kid I got car sick, then out grew it. Sometimes carsickness is just that and not caused by anything other than that.

Because you have never felt comfortable being in a car for as long as you can remember, you likely are suffering from some trauma onset by a deathly car accident in a past life. You can use past life regression to see into your past lives. Why don't you look up a hypnotherapist in your area? The only way you can overcome this trauma is through this kind of therapy, and it's all natural. If you are interested in learning more about this phenomena, I suggest you get a copy of Many Lives, Many Masters by Brian Weiss. I'm going to hypnotherapy school in January.

I'm afraid of being in a car because when I was younger most of my family was killed before my eyes while we were in one, but since you have not reason it does seam a bit odd. A phobia maybe?
