Is it normal to be able to sleep after drinking coffee?

So I drink coffee everyday and started around a month or two ago so I haven't been drinking it for too long. Before I drank coffee, I was constantly tired no matter how much sleep I had or how healthy I ate. It's something to do with my blood I guess, but then I started drinking coffee. It helps to keep me awake now, but I drink it up until 10 at night and I'm still able to go to sleep minutes after. Is that normal or weird?

Caffeine does not bother me at all. I can sleep anywhere and at any time. My father is the same.

I couldn't drink that much coffee, I would be a walking panic attack.

With very strong coffee, I can feel it in my eyes. But sleep has never been a problem.

Coffee alone doesn't actually provide a huge dose of caffeine so it may not matter much to you. Another possibility is caffeine tolerance. If you build up your tolerance you may not notice the effects at all with the dose from one cup of coffee. I take 400 mgs before most of my workouts at the gym and if I drank a cup of coffee it would'nt do shit to me.

  • Caffeine can be weird for me too, sometimes seems to put me to sleep other times can help me feel less tired. And sometimes I never even feel it at all. I sometimes feel like I buy redbull for the taste cause I end up feeling nothing.

How much caffeine do you take? The average cup of coffee has 50 mgs but that is only a small fraction of the most effective dose which is more like 400 mgs.

      • Idk usually like a cup or two of coffee lately it’s been daily. Besides that not much else I occasionally get something with caffeine like soda. For a while I was buying caffeine gum but everywhere I went stopped selling it.

Caffeine gum? Haven't heard of it. One thing I would recommend would be caffeine pills. Their easy to find on Amazon and you can get like 500 200mg pills for 15 dollars or so. Take one a day and thats worth 4 cups of coffee.
