This isn't my impression of the IIN community at all.

In my experience, the general consensus in the community is:
- Don't lose your virginity to just anyone who shows a willingness to fuck.
- Sex is good
- Casual sex is fun (as long as everybody is on the same page in terms of feelings/ commitment)
- Waiting for marriage is a strange and outdated practice, but each to their own

So I'm not sure why you think the majority of us are prude, chastity-belt whirling, purity-ring wearing dinosaurs.

I completely agree. Sexuality is a wonderful thing that everyone has a right to enjoy provided they so within a consensual framework. It's discouraging to live in a society where many people still feel like they can't freely explore sex. People who practice consensual sex should never be demonized in any way, no matter how they do it or who they do it with. For whatever reason, sexuality represents an unusually large block of anti-liberal thinking; even many otherwise liberally-minded people are extremely anti-liberal on sex.

I don't know how normal it is. It goes against the prevailing social norm in mainstream Western cultures, so I suppose it isn't. But in a culture that embraces rationalism, it should be normal. It's even abnormal among many students who are supposed to think deeply about social issues.

Its all about the way its worded. That determines who choses to vote.

Like lets say you asked iin to save yourself for marriage, the religion bashers would vote it down. If you asked iin to enjoy sex or to sleep with more than one person, it would entice people to vote yes. If you asked is it cool to fuck a lot of guys, it would likely be a different story because more girls would probably vote.

Becoming an experienced lover is just the intelligent thing to do if one wants to be able to please their partner. No one is born with the talent to be a good lover, and like anything else important in life, it takes practice to become proficient at sex.
Perhaps it is envy that causes some who do not have sex to put down those that do, with terms like slut. Perhaps it is a sincere belief that sex is wrong or "dirty". But it is the experienced lover who has a relaxed and healthy attitude towards sex, that will most assuredly have a better chance at a great, long lasting relationship.

People who wait for marriage or have under 2 sex partners are usually more successful in life sooo it's probably fair to say someone who has multiple partners (and probably STDs) is a slut.
