Is it normal to always get sick when drinking?

I just started drinking and every time I drink enough to feel slightly tipsy I have crazy nausea. Even if I eat beforehand and drink water. Is it possible to get drunk without feeling sick?

My father was an alcoholic who drank himself to death. You'd think I would have a tolerance for alcohol, but I don't. It takes very little for me to have the room start spinning around. I hate it. Marijuana is a much better high for me. I never end up puking into a toilet with weed.

I get a headache from drinking past a pretty small amount. I think alcohol affects us all differently. The way I see it, if it is not enjoyable, don't do it.

Are you drinking beer? When I first started drinking I drank beer. I used to get sick nearly every time I'd drink it, I once got sick after just two pints. I thought it tasted disgusting but that I would eventually get used to it, I didn't. I eventually gave up on it and switched to vodka. So it could just be the taste if it's something you really can't stand the taste of.

Some people are allergic to alcohol, you might be one of them. It is possible to live a perfectly normal life without consuming alcohol. Just drink coke or orange juice or something like that.

From my experience, everyone has different metabolism in which people can absorb alcohol, usual factors that play is weight, health, allergies (Gluten) and so forth.

I'd say It's normal, people like that are called "Lightweight drinkers." but you may also suffer heartburn that make you queasy, so just be cautious.
