Is it normal to always feel like you don't have freedom?

I always feel like I don't have freedom, went I want to ask permission for something I usually have an irrational felling that I am asking for something that is obviously not allowed, and that the person is going to scream at me because of it.
Because of that sometimes I will just give up on asking, and others I will have a way to make someone at the same position as me to ask for me. At the end it usually turn out fine and then they just give the permission without any effort.
This happens a lot to me, and I always feel so dumb.
But I can't help myself, I keep always feeling like I don't have freedom when I actually have, this is driving me crazy.

Your post reminds me of when I was working in customer service/tech support, and everytime my supervisor said they had to speak to me I automatically assumed I was in trouble.

    How old are you?
If you're in your teenage years I would say it's normal.

  • 1. you probably have an anxiety condition - I think the same things, and I even go so far as to concoct elaborate scenarios in my head as to why the person I'm talking to is an asshole/I'm a piece of shit, and wasting their time. They'll obviously stop me, somehow, and because I'm an anxious piece of shit I'll back down and give them what they want when they want.

    2. 9 times out of ten, I'm partially (if not completely) wrong about what the other party thinks or how they'll react, and they're totally chill about the whole thing and "Snap back to reality" sounds way more like an invitation than a threat.
