Is it normal to allow your dog to sniff your maxi pad before you throw it out?

This is why I don't have a dog.
One time when my family were staying at my aunts house the dogs ran through the house with dirty diapers and used maxi pads on Christmas eve. :/

Why am i the only one that doesnt seem weirded out by this, She isnt forcing the dog to smell it, the dog obviously just want to smell it, so she lets it, then trows it away.

What if she'd lick it? That would be bad. Idk why but yeah, dogs tend to eat really gross things. My dog tries to eat out of the cats' litter box but we don't let her.

Why not just cut out the middle man and let him sniff your crotch directly.

I'm a girl and my dogs are obsessed with my underwear, if I accidentally leave it on the floor I'll come back and its soaking wet from them licking it. But dude that's super weird that you let them sniff your pads like why .

Is there a reason you let them sniff it? Is it because they try to or are you trying to get them to remember your scent. You know I heard of dogs eating stuff like pads and diapers before. You should probably watch for that.
