    To be honest, there's really nothing that can be done about it. People have always hated what's different or what goes against their values.
    My town has crazy people in it too. Depending on which part of town it is it's either:
    homophobic, racist against Hispanics/African Americans, and they spout "if you don't follow MY religion I hate you."
    or
    overly emotional, racist against whites, that spout "if you don't agree with my political points you're a Nazi and I hate you."

    Both sides are pretty funny to listen to. XD
