Is it normal they kept a photo of his bloody face?

I was going through one of the old photo album books my parents had. There was a section in it for our late great dog. There were normal dog photos in there, but there was also one of a guy with a bloody face. I asked my mom about it and she said when I was a kid playing in the front yard with the dog, a guy grabbed me and tried to pull me away. The dog knocked him down, bit him on the face and wouldn't stop. She seemed quite proud of the picture. My dad was too. They started reminiscing about how good she was and how protective of a dog she was. My coworker thought it was weird to keep a photo of it. Is it normal?

-Maybe they never wanted to forget what he looked like if they ever came across him again.
-Maybe they kept it as evidence in the event he tried to sue later.
-Maybe it's a trophy to say "Fuck yeah our poochie got this pervert."

    I say normal.

It would be framed and hanging on a wall with a memorial plaque if he had been my dog and you were my child.

I'd have a nice picture of the dog and that one framed together.

Cheers to the late great dog who saved your life! 🍻

Our bloodhound is annoying and gross as fuck. But she would never let anyone she didn’t know near my kids. It’s a comfy feeling. ☺️

Of course it’s normal. I mean, it’s quite the story that happened in the first place and that they managed to snap a picture (I’m guessing this was back in the day before everyone had a cell phone that took pictures?), but once you end up with a souvenir like that, who in their right mind would throw it away? Good dog.

Normal. I would've kept the photo too.

I probably would have kept it. My mom takes pictures of our dead relatives in their caskets at the funerals.

Yeah, I know. It's kinda weird. My mom did it with my Siamese cat, Andrew, at the veterinarian's office when we brought his body in for them to send to the crematorium. He died at home of a heart attack.
