IIN the online atheist community just as bad as religious extremists

I bloody agree, as a proud atheist I'm bewildered by the hypocrisy I have observed by a minority of fellow atheists.

They are quick to scream bloody Mary when a religious person discriminates or insults an atheist for their choice in life but yet to find it acceptance to do the same thing to others.

I believe everyone is entitled to follow whatever they want. You want to believe in the Tooth fairy be my guest! Treat others as you would want to be treated yourself.
