Is it normal the big fish abuses the small fish?

People are said to be humane, although it is also said that people are selfish, war-loving assholes.
But especially in the upper class there are people who love to trample on the middle class and the lower class.
Is this normal or a development of our time?

People are always going to dislike others over differences. The same way the lower class dislikes upper class.

A lot of people are selfish and greedy regardless of their class. Probably part of a survival instinct in part. Be thankful for the good people in your life.

    • What good people? They just want something from me that they haven't told me about. They toy with me, have expectations. They think I don't know. Or maybe they already know and I don't know that they know.

It has been a thing for all of human history. Nobles and pheasants. millionaires and poverty. Managers and employees. Everywhere in human history is class discrimination. This is a sad reality of the world we live in. People will backstab others when they get power so you best be ready to get shit on by those above you

I thought this way about actual fish. I read the post and now I'm disappointed.

    • I'm sorry about that. But to be honest, I'm sure there's a phenomenon in zoology too, where big fish take advantage of little fish.

Every day average people aren't war mongers unless they're brainwashed by politics or religion. It's the sociopathic oligarchy that are the problem.

hmmm. good question. I read a long time ago that some people believe that business shapes serial killers, psychopaths, and sociopaths, because people in big business only care about profits not people.

    • I once read that people in positions of power roughly show the symptoms of trauma and would therefore probably not be able to understand the positions of their employees. Whether that's true, well, I guess we'll never know.

you are likely right that they have no idea what employees go through but should still have some compassion.
