Is it normal that this website doesn't tell you when the poster is commenting?

Unless you choose to reply anonymously, it won't tell that person that you're the original poster of the question. So if it's not clear from context that you're the OP, you just have to explicitly tell them. Or if you want to make a comment, but not as a reply to anyone in particular, you just have to announce "I'm the original poster of this question". It's annoying.

But you could still have the option to reply anonymously. It's just that if you chose not to, then you would be labelled as 'Original Poster' so that you wouldn't have to explicitly state you're the OP. I'm the OP btw :P

Yes, but is that really so hard? And as donteat said, it's often obvious in context.

So you mean something like when you reply non-anon on your own post, it puts something next to your username to indicate as such? Honestly, that's probably beyond the concern of the guy who runs this shitshow. He's not concerned with carrying out the promise he made four years ago of spending more time bettering the site in exchange for people using IIN gold. He just took the money and hasn't done shit.

Yeah that's what I meant. I guess it is obvious most of the time alright, so it wouldn't be high priority.

Nothing's any sort of priority to this guy.
