  • I don't know, I think it has more to do with stereotypes and rumours than actual bad experiences. Men pretending to be women online would be at least as likely to target women as men, if not more so, yet you don't get that kind of skepticism from women.

      • How doesn't that make sense? I've come across men pretending to be bisexual or lesbian women looking for bisexual and lesbian women, as well as men pretending to be women in eating disorder communities and other mostly female online communities to try to get pictures from women there. There are also some men who fetishise disability who will pretend to be disabled women to get close to disabled women. It's creepy as fuck, honestly.
