Is it normal that occasionally when having sex i "dry up"?

I love my husband and everything, and I'm very attracted to him, but sometimes when we have sex I get really dry and it becomes uncomfortable and painful, so we have to stop. It hasn't happened with any of my other partners and it always makes me feel bad because he doesn't finish. We use lube to combat this but it still feels pretty darn crappy.

Yes, it happens to everyone occasionally 31

I see you have an option "it's because he isn't exciting enough". Is it really the case? because only you can know it.
I guess you should give it a break or two to heal yourself before you do it again and use a lot of lube from the begining.
Check the kind of lube you are using. You may consult a doctor if problem persists. You may colsult a doctor to make sure you use a good kind of lube .
I wish you the best for your married life.

I think he IS exciting enough, but I was wondering if that might just be it, that my body isn't finding it enjoyable. It isn't every time either, only on occasion. I just feel like its the female version of impotence and it sucks

There is nothing in your case that may show any impotence. It's just that you are drying up. Don't over think it if it's just on occasion. Just use lube before you start and don't think it will happen. This happens to others too. It's normal and you are alright.

How old are you? Sounds like the start on menopause.
    Use a good lube.

That's what I was thinking too. It's no fun, but it's part of life.

Have you asked him to rub your clit while he's pounding your pussy? Does he lick your pussy?

    Happens to my wife too.

If I bang her at a good pace and let her cum she's really juicy. But if I try to go too fast and leave her behind she can't cum enough and starts to dry up.

No biggie, just get some lube and everything will be fine.

It can happen pretty much any time depending on various things like mood or stress etc. It happens to me if I'm involved in a long play session like say over 3-4 hours long.

My grandmother never had any problems in her late 60's. Her husband was dead. We would go to bars and she would pick up young and old guy's. I could hear her fucking from my room. Where I was getting fucked. We made a good team.
Caught her once fucking my step dad. I don't know why cause his thumb was bigger than his dick. And she didn't need money or help from him. I never saw any kind of lube in her room and I fucked some of the guy's she did. Some were well endowed. 7 to 9 inches long. So I guess no 2 women have to be the same as to sex.

That can happen when things get a bit stale or become too routine with long term partners.

A former partner would sometimes have that problem. Her guaranteed turn on was always sex in forbidden places. Once she was in a place where she 'wasn't supposed to have sex' (e.g. public places, cars etc) she was so wet it was ridiculous.

Most of sex happens in the brain.

Maybe play out some fantasies together?

I've slept with many women, it happens.
its sort of like the idea that mens orgasms go all over the place, sometimes it dribbles .
as long as your enjoying yourself… don't worry about it, just drink lots of water.

Not true, women can dry up at any time depending on all sorts of things, some physical, some emotional, some crappy lovers.

If you're talking about menopause, women vary incredibly on the age this process begins and the effects it has on the body: it's not one single event by the way. I was totally dry for a few years at the start of menopause in my late 40's and was prescribed vaginal oestregen cream, which I'm still using weekly 20 years later, except when I forget.

Telling us what our bodies should or shouldn't do and when is extremely arrogant and ignorant

Being an old alzheimers Miss know it all from down under is the only thing that's ignorant.

I am old but I don't have altzeimers or any other form of dementia and I obviously know more about menopause than you do

Its spelled alzheimers , not altzheimers.

That proves that you have it.

Ha ha ...... I knew it wasn't right but couldn't be bothered correcting it .......

Does spelling dementia as dimentia mean you also have oldtimer's?
