Is it normal that my workplace had to shut down early?

I currently work in a charity shop and out of the blue the store manager had to close the shop despite almost finishing my shift I usually work in that place for at least 5 hours.

The manager never explained why it was closing down.

As soon as I and the other people who work there left.

We started wondering....

Why?

Has this ever happened to anyone similar?

Is It Normal?

      As it turned out the manager was feeling sick, but she had never specified of what she was feeling sick of.

      So as of now I have time off work given that it is closed temporarily.

    It can be normal. Maybe they were told by their boss to close? Maybe they had an emergency? It can also just be the manager abusing their role.
