Well, I can see both sides of this. Let's say it was a physical problem, say a tumour you couldn't yet feel. The doctor says you're ill and need treatment but you say that's nonsense because you feel perfectly fine and he won't believe that you feel fine.
The other side of the coin is that your psychologist doesn't seem to be listening to what you say. Mental medicine is not like physical medicine where you can often get to see the problem with your own eyes. The only way you get to the bottom of how someone feels is to listen to them. If he's failing to even do that, he doesn't sound particularly good.
