Is it normal that my mom still helps me pick my clothes out?

Im 21 and my mom still helps me pick my clothes out. My mom will usually help me find something to wear before we go out somewhere or she will get my clothes ready for me before I get out of the shower. I actually dont mind it because it makes things so easy since I dont have to find any clothes to wear. I just have to put them on.

  • Isn't that lovely.

Does she cut up your food for you as well?

Do you still use a nice brightly coloured plastic spork?

  • Does she help you decide between Batman and spidey underroos or are you able to do that now all by yourself as a big boy?

  • Um, I don't think it's normal, but I've been choosing my clothes for as long as I remember.

  • You're 21. No, I don't think it's normal. I've been picking my own clothes since kindergarten.

  • I guess it's okay if you don't mind dressing as a woman old enough to be your mother would choose to dress.

  • It's normal no mother wants to see her kids not needing her anymore.

    • Normal parents want their children to grow up and be independent: this is not normal!

  • I will say yes. She is just a nice mom. And if you don't mind it, its completely fine.

  • Depends if you’re male or female. If you’re female it’s not necessarily not normal, but if you’re a male I’d say it’s a bit strange.

  • Okay, Grammar People... Grammar.

Your mom doesn't help you pick, your clothes, out. (proper comma usage)

She helps you pick out your clothes. (proper word order)

I'm not a "grammar nazi"... you're just ignorant of the English language.

    • Not normal regardless of gender: OP should be mature enough at 21 to do his/her own clothes choosing.
