I am so angry at my grandmother!

Today me and my 9 y.o. sister were talking with her and at one point she told us not to go around fooling with boys because then people will go talking behind our grandfather's back, saying that "that guy banged X's granddaughter".
My sister got curious, of course, asking what "banging" means. I tried to turn the thing around, telling her it's about kissing on the lips, and that she shouldn't let just any boy kiss her. She didn't seem convinced.

My mother gave my sister the talk a few months ago, just not with a lot of details. The general idea.

And now my grandmother comes and tells my sister not to fuck because she will shame our family?? When she is 9??

I told her not to say stuff like that since she is so young, because it will just make her more curious. She got angry, amd told me that she is just giving us good advice.

Good it may be, but absolutely not age appropriate!

What can I do? I feel like she is filling my sister's head with a load of things she is too young for.

    In Ontario Canada kids in grade school are taught the whole 9 yards. Masturbating lesbian gay safe sex you name it. A lot of parents are thinking of pulling their kids out of school or have already done so.

    That's all just too weird.

    Do ya'll live in a bad or dangerous neighborhood where there's a lot of crime, and or kids start to act out sexually at a very young age? Did your little sister develope abnormally fast for her age so as people think that she's older? Ugh.

    I dunno, I'm really just grasping at straws here. Is your granny senile by any chance?

    Damage control.

    Whatever information your grandmother crudely tells your sister, just bite the bullet and tell her the truth, but in a teacher-student way (no slang, curse words, etc). Truly understanding what is being said may save her in the long run, especially the consequences of sex (babies); because in just 3 - 4 years her hormones are going to kick in and she'll want to have sex. Knowing how babies are made, what birth control is, etc may help a great deal (or not depending on how gullible she is when it comes to men).
