It's a lot more common than you think. If I recall from my studies on human sexuality years ago something like 15-20% of people experiment with multiple partners at some point in their lives. About 7.5% continue with multiple partners for much of their lives in open and known by all partners relationships.
On top of that is the people who cheat without telling their other partner; for a variety of reasons.

Totally normal.
Many Ladies under 40 or so prefer older men if they are not looking for marriage. Older men tend to treat them better in many ways.
