Is it normal that my feet tingle?

I noticed that after short periods of time, maybe 10 minutes, my feet fall asleep. I know that its normal for limbs to fall asleep after long periods of stillness but every time I sit for a short period, whether its on the toilet, movies, benches, busses or even in the car (not when driving for some reason), my feet fall asleep.

My annual doctor visit is coming up soon so I will be asking then but im kinda worried. Should I be?

Is It Normal?

    • Nope. Never smoked a day in my life.

    • I get this a lot, but I've never smoked. I think sometimes I pinch a nerve or something.

  • Lets see. Diabetes, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Bad Ticker come to mind. But sure go ahead and wait for your annual date to roll around. You didn't need those feet anyway.

    • I should have specified that my appointment is in the next 2 weeks instead of "soon".

      • Still.. When something tingles, it means no blood. No blood means bad things and you can die in less than two weeks. Why wait?

  • Have you seen a doctor about diabetes or circulatory problems? Those are two potential causes which come immediately to mind.

    • I have no history of diabetes in my family but I guess that means I could still get/ have it.
