Is it normal that my cat responds to other cats outside?

She is in my room and she responds to other cats meowing outside, to me this is weird. Is this sorta behavior normal?

    It's probably because she understands their language. Lol

    Just don't let her out though. Those outdoor cats might have fleas or sicknesses they could spread to her.

    Your lucky your cat isn't spraying near the window, cats can be quite territorial.
