Context is needed. This is pretty burnt no matter how you look at it, but is there some other reason he needs to stay in touch with this person? Are they childhood friends? Does this person need help? It does not necessarily mean he's cheating on you with a prostitute (Why tell you? Secrecy/simplicity are the main points of hiring a prostitute) Still, you have to question his judgment...
