Is it normal that me and my (taken) male friend love to cuddle?

My buddy (23 M) and I (21 F) have known each other since we were kids and we find nothing wrong with holding hands or snuggling when we're just hanging out. There's nothing remotely flirtatious or sexual about it and we both find it enjoyable and comforting. A lot of people think it's weird, though, because he has a girlfriend. That's why I was hesitant about it when they first got together, but she acts like and maintains that she's 100% fine with us hanging out whenever and getting a little bit close. If she's fine, and we're fine, is there really any reason to establish different boundaries?

  • If his girlfriend doesn't mind, I don't see why anybody should.

  • It isn't a big deal. I personally love cuddling and hugs, and I cuddle with my close friends. As long as its not romantic, then no problem. But try to make sure the girlfriend is okay with it. Make sure you make it clear that you're posing no threat to their relationship.

  • I personally have a friend who's a girl I like to spoon up to on sleep overs, Its comforting, I'm usually the big spoon, I really enjoy it most in winter, Because I feel like I'm being kinda useful by cuddling up with them, keeping them warm.

    So yeah, I say it's normal. :)

  • I dunno, I used to spoon with a good friend of mine in college, and nothing ever happened, but that was long ago and far away.

  • Are you jealous of her?
