Is it normal that male and female customers at work like to flirt with me?

Strangers just love chatting with me when I'm on the salesfloor. They say they like my hair, my voice, my shoes, my face, or etc. I'll usually smile, be polite, and listen since you can't tell a customer "I have work to do and I don't care about anything you're saying to me right now."

Sometimes it ends with them trying to give me their number. Other times it ends with them asking me if I'm with someone or if I'd like to go out with them. I never take then up on their offers because I'm taken.

This happens about 3-5 times a month. The men are usually either way older or waaaay younger than me. The women look like their my age. The gay club near by got closed due to covid, so theres no explanation for why females still do it. Is this normal?

    That can be expected, usually when people try to flirt with me and trust me they are interested in me.

    As a girl it is totally normal and I can relate to this.

    Older men will flirt with anything that has a vagina so it’s normal if you’re a woman.

      Yeah. Haha. My co-workers were joking with me saying that I should ditch my boyfriend and get with with an older richer man. A few women at my job have done that. Not my thing though.

      Thank you. But I'm not really. I'm 32 with pale skin, curly frizzy hair, glasses, and I sometimes have some sort of filth and sweat on me due to the boxes from the delivery truck always being dirty and heavy. I don't think that's very attractive.

      Thing is I don't want to know them better. Behind this fake smile and bubbly demeanor at work, I'm actually an apathetic, workaholic who dislikes most people.
