Is it normal that it turns me on knowing my girlfriend loves horror films?

Even though I hate them with a passion?
For some reason it interests me that my girlfriend is into horror movies, and has seen a ton of different ones... ones that I wouldn't even dream of watching.

She mentions a movie she watched, for example final destination (one of her favorites). She says that she loves the movies, then I go look up scenes and pictures from the movies, and then think to myself: "Has she really watched this and loved this? How horrible!"

And then after thinking about her watching it and liking it turns me on for some reason.
Is this normal?

    If you truly love someone, then all kinds of random little things about them will turn you on, make you really happy to see, or you will find cute. Especially seeing them so passionate about something. Sounds to me like you found a keeper, cherish her.

    Well the idea of a women that is into horror and likes scary, weird, abnormal stuff is really a turn on for me.

    Possibly the same effect bad asses have on girls, those same girls are attracted to the persons ferocity but don't necessarily take to bad-arsery themselves.

    You may be attracted to the darker side of her, the part that likes to immerse in death and gore. Going out on another limb you may feel you've charmed a demon, a bad girl.

    I'd understand it more if you shared her interest in horror films. It seems a little odd to be 'turned on' by her interest in a genre of movies you don't like at all.

    I don't know because I guess you may be attracted to a darker part of her personality. Just an educated suggestion .
