I mean, it is though. Microwave chicken tenders and run others through an oven, you'll see which tastes better. I've used those hot water faucets on commercial coffee brewers to make ramen and it tastes better than microwaving it.
Microwaves work by agitating sub-molecular particles, creating an artificial heat through frictional heat diffusion by increasing the vibrations of the atoms of whatever's in there
There are a lot of different ways to cook things that cook them differently, in ways that can benefit or diminish them as well
I agree with your point though, it is a little pedantic to think of oneself as too good to never accept microwaved tea
Uhh...no lol. The entire method of pouring over boiling water simply results in a superior end result most of the time. For me anyway. I'm not gonna get fancy about it lol
I'm sure it's possible to make good tea in the microwave, but why bother? Your cup is gonna get all hot, if it has any gold paint hiding on it somewhere it'll start sparking and scare the fuck outta you, different microwaves operate differently and give different results...yada-yada.
Plus the people I know won't even heat their freakin' water to boiling in the microwave. They'll heat up bags of black tea in there too, which results in it getting all bitter and gross.
Basically I just have strong opinions about meaningless things lol
Well, as long as you know they're meaningless things, that's cool.
But you might wanna try to take a little step back if you see someone making their tea in a microwave and you start feeling the urge to sort out their poor kitchen decisions with a Molotov cocktail.
IIN that it pisses me off when people make their tea in the microwave?

So you believe that water which has been heated to 100°C in a microwave is qualitatively different to water that's been heated to boiling in a kettle?
