Is it normal that if i'm singing, i imagine the artist listening

So for example if I'm singing in my van, and I feel I'm giving it my all, a little bit of me hopes the artist to be listening around the corner somewhere, before they come out and start belting it out with me. I can't help but think of this every time, am I the only one?
