Please give me a reference to these scientific studies of people who've had NDE's, or are you seriously suggesting I do research myself worldwide? Plenty of people have had NDE's, myself for one, and nothing unusual happened, except they nearly died but didn't. Many people who've "returned from the dead" state quite categorically that there's "nothing on the other side".
Have you personally researched all the religions of the world? I don't understand how researching made up beliefs has anything to do with the subject. You do realise that medical knowledge about when full death (as opposed to cessation of heart beat) actually occurs is changing as more research is done? It's fairly widely accepted that modern technology can now detect some brain activity in people who would once have been regarded as dead. That can actually be proved, as opposed to comforting but delusionary beliefs about afterlife and karma.
I object to these beliefs and will continue to do so because particularly in the case of karma, in countries where this is widely believed (eg India) there is widespread disparity in income, unhygienic living conditions for many, oppression of women .......... need I go on? The worst possible example of karma is the belief that children who are sexually abused CHOSE to be born into a situation where that would happen: I don't suppose by any chance that disgusting belief was made up by leaders of karma believing religions who institutionally abuse children? I was once told that all the Jews who perished in the Holocaust had chosen that fate - nothing to do with Hitler or the Nazi Party! This sort of crap leads to people passively accepting the most unjust and cruel oppression in the mistaken belief that it's their "karma" and their oppressers will suffer in a future life, ipso facto nothing needs to be done in this lifetime about oppression - pardon me while I find a large bucket to vomit in.
Of course we're all happier when we love and are loved in return: we are social creatures who need other people, but this doesn't prove the existence of an afterlife or of karma. It has been scientifically researched that people with satisfying social relationships have better life outcomes (eg, social isolation increases the risk of heart attack).
Finally, and I realise this will probably annoy you as much as it's annoyed other karma believers over the years: maybe it's all true, in which case it's my karma to question karma and yours to listen to me do so.

It doesn't sound like it. If you've watched the old unsolved mysteries, the with Robert Stack as the host, there was a segment called life after life. That is a good example of what I'm talking about. A NDE is where people see a light and they walk towards a light. I am not suggesting you personally do the research, just to look at the numbers and statistics of the phenomenon and just notice what scientifically is consistent.
When I had my NDE, i was in a place that was so beautiful, when I saw the light. WHen I was there I remembered being there before. It was truly amazing, kind of like you don't remember something until you see it again and remember. When I saw it, I remembered how wonderful it is. It's not something I can prove to you, it's something I felt in my heart that I just knew was true. That's all I can offer.
So unless I experienced what you believe is an NDE, I wasn't near death? Well you weren't there, but hospital and medical records would prove otherwise. Are you seriously producing as evidence some old fictional TV show? Words fail me ..........

Many people have "come back from the dead" and said there's nothing there. But of course according to you, they didn't have NDE's because their experience isn't the same as yours.

So you have your own personal definition of a Near Death Experience and any experience of anyone who's been near to death which doesn't fit your version, hasn't had an NDE? That's called special pleading. A Near Death Experience is by definition any experience near death, and some people experience precisely NOTHING.
