Is it normal that i wonder if people i've served at work have since died?

Basically, sometimes when I'm in my own deep thought, I think about some of the memorable people I've served at work and wonder if they've since passed away, whether it be from suicide, late stage cancer, car accident or murder etc. Or if entire families I've served have all died in a horrible accident, and how it's weird I've served them and there's a chance that they're now just a pile of ashes. Is this normal to think about?

    Wow that was a bit mean & uncalled for... I Think like that too though but then I work in retail & a lot of the time I'm happy too think the customers have died! Z

    I think about customers I cash out all the time. I know for a fact a fair few have died. One girl who was a year below me in school fell off her horse and died from internal bleeding, another guy committed suicide, a few just grew very old and died of old age, and one poor old lady was recently murdered.

    Oh and don't let the idiots give you crap for working in fast food. It's a job, you need money, and without employees, the fast food places would not be able to function and serve the very people insulting you.

    I was expecting to see you worked at a nursing home or care facility like I have. I wonder about my old patients from time to time but they were really old when I worked in those places so chances are its probably true for me

    A fast food place huh? Nice, what kinda benefits they give you? How much do they contribute to your 401K? You should be more concerned about how much life kicked your ass instead of worrying about the people you served being alive or not.

      Thanks, A hole. I'm actually a happy student and I work there for spare money (I save a lot of it) so I don't have to bug my parents constantly. And no I'm not a minor. But thanks for being so quick to judge.
